From the recording Anthrophony
The story of how two of our dearest friends met and fell and love.
Lyrics
I’ve been roaming down solitary streets
Walking my own path with my own two feet
Life as I had know was chasing hopes and dreams
Love is a river, a wave, a sandy beach
In front of me now an elder stands
A fellow bum a lonely traveling man
His baby girl would soon be coming round
I’d have never guessed she’d turn my world upside down
I hadn’t thought for a minute
Of love now I’m in it
From the second I saw her pretty smile
We’ve been lost for hours
In fields of white sand and flowers
I think we’ll stay here for a while
Her old man set out to take a stand
Didn’t want his little girl and a fellow bum hand in hand
The flame by now was burning strong
An elder bum seldom admits when he is wrong
I hadn’t thought for a minute
Of love now I’m in it
From the second I saw her smile
We’ve been lost for hours
In fields of white sand and flowers
I think we’ll stay here for a while
I told that girl one day I’ll marry you
A man of my word and those words I spoke were true
A strange passer by with a message softly spoke
Now that’s true love and disappeared amongst the folks
I hadn’t thought for a minute
Of love now I’m in it
From the second I saw her smile
We’ve been lost for hours
In fields of white sand and flowers
I think we’ll stay here for a while
